Pecos McNiel grew up in George West, Texas, and moved to Yale, OK in 1989 where he graduated high school. He then attended Northeastern Oklahoma University, and he went on to graduate from Oklahoma State University with a B.S. in Agricultural Education and M.S. in Adult Education and Supervision. Pecos taught at Yale High School and Meridian Technology Center. He attended Missouri Auction School and shortly after graduation, worked for Mueggenborg Auctioneers.
In 2000, he felt called to start his own Auction business and moved to Bristow, OK where he, his wife Sarah, and their combined 5 kids call home today. Their kids are very involved in many various activities including rodeo, soccer, dance, piano, basketball, art, FFA, the church youth group, and more. The family lives on their own working cattle ranch where they raise cattle and horses. They work together with the daily chores of operating a cattle business, along with being involved with McNiel Auction Services.
Pecos is a lifetime member of the Oklahoma Cattlemen's Association and the American Quarter Horse Association, a member of the Working Ranch Cowboys Association, Creek County Fairboard, and is very involved with other groups within the community. Sarah owns her own hair salon in Bristow and shares the building with McNiel Auction Services’ main office at 144 W 6th Ave. She and Pecos work together to run McNiel Auction Services and McNiel Ranches.
Pecos and Sarah have expanded McNiel Auction Services and now offer commercial flatbed, step deck, dry van, reefer, and livestock hauling. They have been blessed with the trucking business and are excited for its growth in the future.
Pecos is very involved in his family's home church and loves his Lord, Jesus Christ. He involves Him in his daily decision-making and enjoys using the gifts and talents God has given him to help others. With his strong faith foundation, family values, and years of experience, Pecos has strived to make McNiel Auction Services the very best.
